about OUR GOAL
Supporting Those Affected by the War
We are committed to creating opportunities for young agriculture-oriented students, women, war veterans, and their families who have been affected by the war in Ukraine. The ongoing conflict has disrupted livelihoods, displaced millions of people, damaged rural infrastructure, and limited access to stable employment, especially in agricultural regions where communities traditionally depend on farming as their primary source of income.
By involving these groups in berry production, which is an agricultural sector with strong prospects in the high-value European export market, we aim to support recovery, restore dignity, and create meaningful economic opportunities. Berry cultivation offers accessible employment, particularly in harvesting and field management, and helps people rebuild stability and a renewed sense of purpose within a future-oriented European horticultural sector.
At the same time, demand in Western Europe for regeneratively produced fruit continues to grow, while labour shortages increasingly limit production capacity there. Ukraine, where berry cultivation is already widely understood and culturally embedded, is therefore uniquely positioned to respond to this opportunity. Supporting berry production in Ukraine can strengthen rural resilience while contributing to a sustainable and competitive European supply chain.
